What the course does not cover
The programme focuses on cost management within organisations — budgeting, absorption costing, standard costing, and performance reporting. It does not cover financial accounting, tax preparation, or investment analysis.
The course also does not require purchasing any proprietary software. All exercises run in tools that students already have access to.
I completed the cost management course while working full time. The self-paced format made it possible. The variance analysis module alone changed how I read monthly reports at work.
The portal is simple to navigate and the lessons are structured without padding. I appreciated the concrete data sets — they felt like actual work rather than classroom exercises.
Based outside the central business district, access to in-person finance training was always a scheduling problem. The online format removed that obstacle entirely.
